We do a lot of hard work on our homestead, and often need to re-hydrate. Instead of having traditional sports drinks which contain high fructose corn syrup and neon dye, we make our own electrolyte water using coconut water!

Coconut water naturally contains electrolytes, and is a great way to get minerals like potassium, sodium, and manganese naturally!  Plus, it tastes amazing.

What’s In This Homemade Electrolyte Drink?

See the recipe card below for full ingredient amounts and recipe instructions!

  • Coconut Water – I absolutely love the flavor of this coconut water! It’s great in this recipe, or even just by itself.
  • Lemon Juice – freshly squeezed
  • Sea salt
  • Honey: Optional – if you like a little more sweetness.  As beekeepers, we have plenty of raw honey so I try to use it in all my recipes instead of sugar.  I’d recommend trying a local farmers market to find the best raw honey in your area. Or else, raw organic honey is the next best thing.
