We absolutely love our juicer and use it multiple times a week since we’ve gotten it! Having a juicer is one of the easiest ways to make your own juices at home, to use up extra produce you have (plus fresh juice for making your own kombucha!), and to make unconcentrated juices without preservatives in your own kitchen.Â
Now that fall is peak carrot season, we love cooking with fresh carrots as well as making recipes that utilize the greens as well. Our carrot top soup recipe is a huge hit on the site, and I wanted to include a new fresh juice recipe that we make all the time at home.

For this juicer recipe, you will need fresh carrot greens or carrot tops. I can usually find bunches of fresh whole carrots with their greens at my local grocery store year round… but try your farmers market or local farm stand too.
Our delicious carrot top juice recipe also uses apples which are in season during the fall. The sweetness of the apples pairs really nicely with the earthiness and zesty flavor of the carrot greens.Â
And finally we like to add a bit of fresh ginger root which is a classic accompaniment carrot and apple juices. It adds a fresh spicy flavor which really makes this juice extra bold!

Like most juicer recipes, you can add in your favorite fruits or juicy greens in to customize your recipe to your tastes. Chopped cucumber, romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce are all great vegetables to include.
Other fruits that would be great in this juice are fresh sliced oranges, pears, or melon juice.
You can also add in fresh turmeric root for a bright yellow color and tart savory flavor.
