This delicious and satisfying keto chocolate chip cookies recipe is great for those who are watching their carb intake. You can still have a delicious and sweet dessert without the added sugars or carbs. I love that these cookies are so flavorful, too – made with almond flour (just ground almonds) which takes the place of regular white flour.
I also used this fantastic baking sugar alternative which tasted just like sugar. You can see all my low carb & keto recipes here!

Be sure to visit the recipe card below for full ingredient amounts and recipe instructions!
- Sugar Alternative – This 1:1 sugar substitute tasted unbelievable, it has 1 net carb per serving and tastes exactly like real sugar. I’d highly recommend this sugar substitute for baking, it was fantastic and diabetic-friendly.
- Almond Flour – I recently got a bag of almond flour and have been absolutely loving it! It’s a great alternative to wheat flour for baking and making all kinds of treats! If you haven’t baked with almond flour, you have to it, it tastes nutty and delicious.
- Butter – I use unsalted in all my recipes for consistent flavor
- Sugar Free Chocolate Chips – I found these great sugar free chocolate chips, which are delicious and have no added sugar!
- Vanilla Extract: it’s super important to use real pure vanilla extract, and not artificial baking vanilla flavor. This real all natural vanilla is a fantastic ingredient to give this recipe an #extra boost – and it has no sugar added!
- Walnuts: because I love tasty ingredients to my cookies when I can. I stocked up a few bags of these walnuts which are super cheap and a great value for the quality.
- Eggs

- Add the vanilla extract, salt, and baking soda, and stir well.
- Add the almond flour in one cup at a time, stirring each cup into the batter before adding the next cup.
- Stir in the walnuts and chocolate chips.
- Use a spoon or cookie scoop, and form approximately 1-inch balls of dough on the baking sheet, making sure to space the cookies evenly on the pan (each one of my pans held 12 cookies each).
- Place baking sheets in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove sheet pan from oven, and allow cookies to cool before eating. Cookies will be very soft, and go nicely with a cold glass of almond milk.
