This easy green pear smoothie takes 5 minutes to make and is a fantastic, healthy, plant-based breakfast recipe. Get your greens in first thing in the morning with this delicious drink. I added a scoop of protein powder to make this recipe filling and nutritious.
I love green smoothies so much, and this fantastic green smoothie with pears recipe is an awesome way to start the day! This recipe is perfect because it’s not too sweet, it has just the right combination of fruits and veggies. I love pear season in the late summer, so if you have extra pears around you have to try blending them in a smoothie.
I like blending better than juicing because of the awesome fiber you get from the fruits and vegetables. The fiber keeps the smoothie thicker, and fiber has been proven to keep you fuller longer. Stay satisfied with this delicious smoothie made with fresh, frozen, or canned pears!

Vitamix Pear Protein Shake Recipes
I’ve owned a lot of blenders, but my Vitamix is definitely the best one I’ve owned. This high-speed blender will blend even the toughest of ingredients into pulp. I prefer using my blender for recipes like this, as it’s much easier to clean the Vitamix. This is definitely one kitchen appliance we use on a daily basis!
What’s In This Pear Shake Recipe?
- Pears – You can use any variety, I used d’anjou pears because I snagged a big bag in my Misfits Market box – they have a fantastic selection of in-season fruits & veggies, healthy pantry items, and great food finds for a fraction of grocery store prices! You can get $10 off your first $30 box by clicking here!
- Ground Flaxseeds: I always add a scoop in my oatmeal for a little extra nutritional punch! This flaxseed meal has a wonderful nutty flavor too. Flaxseeds have a ton of amazing health benefits, so add a scoop to breakfasts, lunches, or smoothies!
- Plant-Based Vanilla Protein Powder – of all the protein powders, this vanilla protein powder is my favorite! It’s simple, has just 4 ingredients, and tastes amazing with fruit smoothies. It’s not chalky and contains tons of plant protein to keep you going throughout the day.
How Do I Make This High Fiber Pear Smoothie Recipe?
I use my Vitamix Blender for all my smoothies , it can blend anything… no seriously, anything! I sometimes adding whole oranges or lemons to smoothies, and you can’t taste any peel, seeds, or pulp. Pears can be fibrous, so make sure you use a high-speed blender to get all the pieces of the pear and peel nice and blended.
Blend all ingredients on high speed until you get a smooth consistency. Pour into your favorite glass or mason jar and enjoy.
