A simple breakfast recipe with papaya. Naturally sweet, vegan, and dairy-free, this smoothie is a like a tall glass of summer sunshine.
When papaya and mango are in season, this is no better way to enjoy them then in a delicious and perfectly sweet smoothie. I found a big box of honey mangoes recently, and have been making some great recipes – including this smoothie.
This smoothie is naturally sweet & thick (no added dairy or sugar), and is made with great fruits like banana, mango, and a hint of lime for acidity. My husband and I both gave this one a 10/10, it made a delicious breakfast.

The Best Blender for Frozen Fruit Smoothies
I recommend using a good-quality high speed blender for this recipe. I have a fantastic Vitamix blender, which I have been using for years, and it gets daily use in our home.
Choose a blender that has a lot of power, and can pulverize even the toughest of ingredients. My blender can chop ice, dates, frozen fruits, make soups, and even blend nuts into homemade nut butter. Using a good high-speed blender will make perfectly creamy smoothies and sauces every time!
How Do You Make a Smoothie with Mangoes and Papaya?
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender, including the fruit, lime juice, water, and ice.
- Start the blender on low speed and work your way up to high speed and blend for 2 minutes.
- Pour into your favorite glass, and enjoy!
Frozen Fruit Smoothies For the Win!
You can use frozen fruit for this recipe instead of fresh. I usually buy frozen mango and frozen fruit when it’s on sale. I also buy fresh bananas in bulk, and peel and freeze them before they get too brown, and they are great for smoothies like this!
By using freezer ingredients, I can stock up when they are on sale, and use them in all kinds of great dishes. It saves me a trip to the store, and I can have amazing smoothies every day with ingredients I have on hand.
