This Vegan In-N-Out Burger Recipe is a copycat of the classic California burgers, loaded with a plant-based patty and creamy & tangy special sauce. These delicious vegetarian fast food burgers are great to grill, fry on the stove top, or bake in the oven.
Load ’em with your favorite toppings like onions, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and smother on the sauce.
After making my delicious vegan copycat In-N-Out sauce the other week, I had to recreate the full vegan In-N-Out Burger experience with a delicious burger on the grill. Going to In-N-Out was such a treat when I lived in California, I loved getting a Double Double and animal style fries!
I tried to make this burger a double, but honestly I used Meatless Farm’s plant-based patties (which are HUGE!) and I couldn’t fit 2 patties on one bun, ha! So you get a single burger for now. You can definitely make this vegan burger a double by using smaller patties – but I would definitely recommend the Meatless Farm burgers anytime!
This Vegan In-N-Out Burger Recipe Is:
- Stacked (a giant burger!)
- Savory
- Hearty
- Satisfying
- Loaded with vegetables
- Smothered in a creamy tangy sauce
- A great In-N-Out Copycat vegan burger

- Gluten Free Burger Buns- You can use gluten free buns for a wheat-free version!
- Tomato
- Lettuce
- Pickles – I used my fresh garlic pickles without dill recipe… SO good!
- Onion
- Vegan In N Out Special Sauce – The full recipe for my vegan In N Out sauce is here on the blog. It’s ready in 5 minutes and made in the blender. This sauce is SO flavorful and a close copycat of the restaurant variety.
