We are in the dog days of summer here in New England, and I wanted to make a twist on homemade lemonade! We have been enjoying so much coconut water lately, as it naturally contains electrolytes so it’s a perfect alternative to sports drinks. It’s a great way to get minerals like potassium, sodium, and manganese naturally!  Plus, it tastes amazing.

While I love drinking coconut water plain, I couldn’t resist jazzing it up a bit and turning it into a delicious lemonade. This is a perfect drink to serve over ice on a hot summer day, so get out your lemon squeezer and enjoy!

  • Lemons – use fresh lemons for this recipe, not bottled lemon juice. It makes all the difference.
  • Water – for mixing the simple syrup
  • Granulated Sugar: I like to use this organic sugar for my recipes. Tastes great in this lemonade!

How To Make Lemonade with Coconut Water

  1. In a large quart-sized mason jar or large heatproof serving container, add the sugar and pour in the boiling water. Stir with a wooden spoon and allow mixture to sit for 4 to 5 minutes until sugar dissolves.
  2. In the same container, add the coconut water and lemon juice. Stir again, and refrigerate.
  3. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slice of desired.

A No Cook Recipe That’s Perfect for Summer

This no-cook coconut lemonade is a quick and simple recipe.  I love a good no-cook recipe for those days when I’m not feeling like standing around the stove, or for summer nights when it’s too hot to cook. I have a whole collection of recipes that require zero cooking at all, check them out here!

This lemonade comes together in about 5minutes, and only requires hot or boiling water. Just hot enough to dissolve sugar (I’ve used hot tap water). Just use a few pantry staple ingredients and you have a healthy meal ready in no time.  And very little to clean up afterwards… an added bonus!
