I absolutely love avocados for breakfast… and while avocado toast is a great easy option, or adding avo to a tasty kale avocado smoothie. But some mornings I want something a little lighter and sweeter.

This avocado orange salad recipe is so fresh, so clean, and SO yummy!  Made with peeled and segmented clementines, creamy diced avocado, freshly squeezed lime juice, and topped with basil – this is one tasty breakfast idea that will make you rise and shine!

  • Ripe Avocado
  • Fresh Basil
  • Fresh lime juice – not only for flavor, the lime juice helps keep the avocado from turning brown!
  • Pinch of salt – optional, to make the flavors pop!

Substitutions and Variations

  • Use any kind of orange you prefer: naval, clementines, mandarins, or even blood oranges for a deep dark color.
  • You can add other citrus fruits in as well: like grapefruit or pomelo.
