What’s In Ramen Noodles with Cabbage?
Be sure to visit the recipe card below for full ingredient amounts and recipe instructions!
- Cabbage
- Ramen Noodle Soup – you can use any package you prefer for this recipe. I like using a vegan/gluten free variety that I can find in my stores, but any option you have on hands works!
- Sweet Chili Sauce: gives this dish a bright flavor and sweetness, I love adding this Thai Chili Sauce over noodles or rice, it has a great flavor.
- Fresh lime juice
- Sriracha – for a little heat! We go through this sriracha, its great on soups, curries, and noodle bowls like these curry noodles.
- Green Onion
- Sesame Seeds – I love adding a handful of these sesame seeds to finish off this soup recipe! These seeds add a nice crunch and light flavor to the ramen.
How Do I Make This Cabbage Ramen Recipe?
- In a medium pot, add 1 teaspoon olive oil, shredded cabbage, and salt. Sauté for 7 to 8 minutes over medium heat until the cabbage begins to wilt and brown. Once cooked, transfer cabbage to another bowl, and set it aside, keeping the pot for cooking the noodles.
- Boil water and cook noodles according to package instructions, but only use half of the flavor packet (discard other half). When you add the noodles into the boiling water, also add the cooked cabbage. The noodles and cabbage will take approximately 3 minutes to cook.
- Remove pot from heat, and add the sriracha chili sauce, and lime juice.
- Add green onion, and toss with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
