This air fryer whole sweet potatoes recipe is a simple way to bake sweet potatoes using your air fryer. These potatoes are ready in under 45 minutes, and you can cook up to 4 at once!

This is an easy way to batch cook or meal prep some sweet potatoes for the week. I love using these air fryer sweet potatoes in my sweet potato breakfast bowls.

I absolutely love trying out new ways to cook sweet potatoes, and air frying them is one of the best ways to cook these delicious tubers. All you need are just the sweet potatoes, and a good air fryer with a clean basket – no extra ingredients!

I always grab a bag of sweet potatoes in my grocery box, and I love using them in along side nourishing breakfast and lunch bowls. When you air fry sweet potatoes, they are crispy on the outside, and perfectly tender in the center. A real treat, and no need to turn on your oven.

I only added sweet potatoes, no oil or salt like I have seen with other recipes. And I found that just the sweet potatoes pierced with a fork turn out perfect.

I used medium sized sweet potatoes, 4 of them fit in my air fryer at once, and the cooking time was perfect to cook them all, all the way through.

How Do You Air Fry Sweet Potatoes?

  1. Wash and scrub your sweet potatoes, and pierce each one with a fork 4 to 5 times, all around the potatoes.
  2. Place them in the air fryer, and bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. Make sure to turn the sweet potatoes half way through cooking.
  3. Once sweet potatoes are baked, store them in the refrigerator in a sealed container. Enjoy within 3 days.

  • Line the air fryer with parchment (optional). Place them in the air fryer, and bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. Make sure to turn the sweet potatoes half way through cooking.
