Vegan Avocado Toast Options, 3 Delicious Ways! (Vegan, Gluten Free)

These delicious vegan avocado toast options are great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! 3 different recipes: spicy garlic, tomato basil, and everything bagel! Naturally vegan, and can be made gluten free by using GF bread.
There are very few breakfasts I love more than avo toast. It is healthy, delicious, satisfying, and super versatile. Avocado toast is like a blank canvas you can add any toppings you like to it, depending on the day and what you have in your pantry or fridge. With so many avocado toast options, the possibilities are endless. Here are 3 of my favorite ways to eat avocado toast!

  • Vegan, Dairy Free, and can be Gluten Free if you use GF bread.

While each of the below avocado toast options has different ingredients, all of them have one major step in common. After you toast the bread, rub it on both sides with a piece of far garlic. Seriously, don’t skip this step, it packs major flavor in each toast! It gives the toast a little je ne sais quoi and a kick of flavor that you just can’t place. It’s the real secret ingredient to my perfect avo toast, I never miss this step.

What’s The Secret to Perfect Avo Toast?

The first step to amazing avocado toast is having delicious bread. It’s the vehicle for the rest of the ingredients. I make fresh bread weekly (not even bragging, its so EASY to do!) and you can too. All it takes is 4 ingredients: flour, salt, water, and yeast. That. Is. It. It’s all you need to make easy, homemade, fresh bread anytime. You can bake the bread a few different ways too. Here are a few recipes below:

OK, so to the toast options! Here are my top 3: tomato basil, everything bagel, and spicy garlic. All of these make a delicious breakfast, a quick lunch, or a siple 5-minute dinner for when it is too hot to cook.

Spicy Garlic Avocado Toast

  • Bread: any variety, gluten free or regular, sourdough or pumpernickel.
  • Garlic
  • Avocado
  • Chili Powder
  • Paprika
  • Garlic Powder
  • Chili Flakes
  • Lime Juice

Tomato Basil Avocado Toast

  • Bread: any variety, gluten free or regular, sourdough or pumpernickel.
  • Garlic
  • Avocado
  • Fresh Basil
  • Cherry tomatoes, or any other variety, chopped small
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper

Everything Bagel Avocado Toast

  • Bread: any variety, gluten free or regular, sourdough or pumpernickel.
  • Garlic
  • Avocado
  • Red Onion
  • Everything Bagel Seasoning (poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic salt, granulated onion)
  • Lime Juice

How Do I Make Any of These Avocado Toast Options?

  1. Toast the slice of bread, I normally do this for a few minutes under the broiler. Rub the roasted bread with the raw garlic clove, this really makes all the difference!
  2. Add the mashed avocado to the bread. You an either mash the avocado in a bowl before topping the toast, or mash directly on the toast with a fork.
  3. Add toppings and spices, and enjoy!

Ingredients
  

Spicy Garlic Avocado Toast

  • 1 thick slice bread
  • 1 clove garlic peeled
  • 1/2 avocado mashed
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Red chili pepper flakes
  • Squeeze of lime juice

Tomato Basil Avocado Toast

  • 1 thick slice bread
  • 1 clove garlic peeled
  • 1/2 avocado mashed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil julienned
  • 8 cherry tomatoes halved
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper

Everything Bagel Avocado Toast

  • 1 thick slice bread
  • 1 clove garlic peeled
  • 1/2 avocado mashed
  • Red onion sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning
  • Squeeze of lime juice

Instructions
