Instant Pot for Easy Weeknight Pasta Recipes!
I <3 my Instant Pot! For all my recipes I use the 8-Quart Instant Pot Ultra, its larger than the standard models (which are only 6 quart) so I have extra room to meal prep and batch cook more meals for the week. The Ultra model also has some great extra settings like cake baking and yogurt making which are really neat. I love that everything can cook in one pot, which makes for way less dishes and hands-off cooking. The Instant Pot is hands-down my favorite kitchen appliance, and actually makes my life so much easier.
What’s In Garlic Honey Noodles?
- Olive Oil: I like to use this fruity Zoe olive oil which has a fantastic flavor and deep color- it’s really inexpensive online here, so I keep a few liters stocked up in my pantry. For the quality of oil you get, it’s an excellent value, I would highly recommend!
- Garlic: I use fresh garlic when I have it, and this great jarred organic garlic when I don’t have fresh. It’s actually super convenient to have pre-chopped garlic on hand for quick and easy meal prep.
- Onion
- Gluten Free Noodles
- Water
- Raw Honey: We use our own honey, straight out of the beehives for us! As beekeepers, we have plenty of raw honey so I try to use it in all my recipes instead of sugar. I’d recommend trying a local farmers market to find the best raw honey in your area. Or else, this raw organic honey online here is the next best thing.
- Sesame Oil: The sesame oil gives the perfect toasty flavor to the sauce of this pasta. Toasted sesame oil is traditional in a lot of Asian dishes, and will give your noodles the perfect flavor.
- Rice vinegar: I love rice vinegar, I always keep this seasoned vinegar stocked in my pantry!
- Tamari: tamari is a gluten-free version of soy sauce. Tamari has a bright salty flavor, and adds a really nice depth of umami to this dish. If I am cooking for a crowd, I always use this tamari in my recipes just in case anyone at the table has a gluten allergy, so everyone can enjoy this meal.
- Ginger: I love adding fresh ginger to my dishes, or this great ground ginger to my curries – the ginger gives it a nice kick and spicy flavor.
- Sriracha – for a little heat! We go through this sriracha like crazy, its great on soups, curries, and noodle bowls like these curry noodles.
- Green Onion
- Sesame Seeds – I love adding a handful of these sesame seeds to finish off this recipe! These seeds add a nice crunch and light flavor to the noodles.

How Do I Make Honey Garlic Noodles?
- Set the Instant Pot to Saute mode. Add the olive oil, garlic, and onion, and saute for 4 to 5 minutes until the Vegetables have begun to soften. Turn off saute mode.
- In a jar with an air tight lid, combine the sauce ingredients: honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, ground ginger, and optional Sriracha. Seal with lid and shake well to combine.
- Add the sauce and 1 cup of water to the instant pot. Then add the noodles. Finally, add the remaining 1.5 cups water over the noodles, but do not stir.
- Place the lid on the instant pot and seal to close. Pressure cook on Manual or High Mode for 5 minutes. Then allow the noodles to naturally release for 4 minutes after that. Release the remaining pressure until the float valve on the lid goes down, then stir. Place lid back on the instant pot and allow noodles to sit for 5 minutes to absorb the remaining sauce.
- Serve and add chopped green onions and a sprinkle of Sesame seeds in top.
