What’s In This Vegan Caramelized Red Onions Recipe?
Be sure to visit the recipe card below for full ingredient amounts and recipe instructions!
- Red Onions: I used large red onions, which are super bright and flavorful – they caramelize best!
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt
- White Wine: I used a pinot grigio which coincidentally is also my favorite wine to drink…. so of course I had a glass too! Use a nice wine that you would drink, any fruity white will work.
- Worcestershire Sauce: for that unbelievably rich umami flavor, but make sure you use a plant-based variety if you don’t eat meat (some can contain anchovies).
- Fresh garlic cloves
