One of the best things I found about living in New England is all the fresh apples you can pick in the fall. This recipe is a great way to use up those apples from the orchard, but it also works anytime of year. I love the smell of apples + cinnamon cooking on a autumn morning, it makes the house smell amazing.
Whats In This Baked Oatmeal?
- Rolled Oats, make sure they are gluten free
- Apples – any variety you prefer
- Almond Milk
- Fresh sliced and chopped apples, any variety you like!
- Cinnamon
- Flaxseeds
- Brown Sugar, or any natural sweetener of your choice
- Coconut Oil
- Vanilla Extract
I used Granny Smith apples for this recipe, but use your favorite apple variety instead. I like the tart + sweet combo from Granny Smith so thats usually my go-to apple.
How Do I Make This Oatmeal?
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, grease a 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, add all ingredients together and stir well to combine.
- Pour oatmeal into the baking dish and too with sliced apples.
- Bake for 45 minutes, and enjoy!
