Healthy Snacks with Kale You Can Enjoy Every Day
Kale has gotten tons of publicity in the past few years – with very good reason! This superfood is loaded with Vitamins A, C, and K, contains antioxidants, and can help prevent heart disease and cancer.
Along with being nutritious, kale is versatile – you can air fry it, massage it into salads, blend it into smoothies, and enjoy it in scrambles or pasta. Browse all our healthy kale recipes here!
What’s In Kale Chips?
I make these kale chips, with a few basic staples – but you can add in your favorite spices instead. I love shopping for kale and fresh produce through Misfits Market – they sell groceries, healthy pantry staples, and fantastic food finds (even wine!) at a discounted price. Choose your favorite seasonal produce, save up to 40% off grocery store prices & save time by getting free delivery right to your door!
- Kale – I’ve used both curly kale and lacinato kale for this recipe, both are delicious!
- Good Extra Virgin Olive Oil: I like to use this fruity olive oil which has a fantastic flavor and deep color- it’s inexpensive & I like to keep a few liters stocked up in my pantry. Olive oil has fantastic health properties too: it’s anti-inflammatory & can help fight heart disease.
- Lemon Juice – I like a little squeeze of fresh lemon on my kale chips, which gives them a delicious citrus flavor. Not too much, but a little goes a long way.
- Garlic Powder: A pantry staple ingredient that gets used in our house daily! I love this garlic powder and add it to a lot of recipes for some extra savory flavor. If you aren’t a garlic fan, you can add a different spice blend to your kale chips instead!
- Cayenne Pepper– a pinch for a little heat, totally optional.
- Pink Himalayan Sea Salt: I like to use a pink Himalayan Sea Salt in my kitchen, which is a fancier substitute for plain processed table salt. It’s inexpensive, so I’d recommend this salt if you’re looking for an easy way to level up your spice pantry.

Air Fry Kale Chips Perfectly Every Time
We have a super-quiet air fryer and we are in love with this thing! Since we don’t use a microwave, this air fryer is perfect for heating up things quickly. It’s been really fun to make all kinds of recipes: crispy vegetables, tofu, muffins, and it’s great for reheating leftovers.
I’ve owned a few models, but highly recommend this quiet air fryer for anyone who loves to cook! I got this one which is a perfect size for my kitchen, and also makes as a great gift for friends or family.
