Matcha Fruit Smoothie

This matcha fruit smoothie recipe is a healthy fresh way to start the day- with spinach, banana, oranges, and green tea matcha powder for a refreshing healthy breakfast. This fruity tropical matcha smoothie will let you rise and SHINE!  This 5 minute blender breakfast recipe is a great low calorie breakfast option, and can be made high protein by also using a plant-based protein powder.

Equipment

  • Vitamix or High Speed Blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup kale or spinach you can use the leaves and stems
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1 cup pineapple fresh or frozen
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 large orange peeled
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseeds
  • 1.5 cup ice
  • 3 cups water or unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop protein powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a high speed blender.
  • Blend on low, and increase speed until all fruit/ice chunks are blended and the smoothie is a creamy consistency.
  • Pour into your favorite glass, sit back, and enjoy!
