This Swiss chard pesto is one of my favorite Swiss chard recipes - it's flavorful, garlicky, and SO simple to make! It makes a delicious and earthy pesto sauce to serve over pasta, risotto, or with garlic bread!
Wash and dry your Swiss chard leaves. Chop the leaves from the stems (for this recipe I only use the leaves).
To a food processor, add the Swiss chard leaves. Then toss in the walnuts, garlic cloves, parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Put the lid on the food processor and turn on the machine. Stream in the olive oil into the pesto. The Swiss chard pesto should be processed after 1-2 minutes.
Open the lid and scrape the inside of the food processor bowl to ensure all the greens and garlic have been mixed in. Transfer the pesto to a serving bowl and enjoy!
