Ingredients
3.5
cups
water
3
lemons
juiced
1/3
cup
sugar
or more to taste
1/4
cup
fresh mint
Instructions
In a mason jar, start by juicing the fresh lemons.
Add in the sugar, and stir well until the sugar has completely dissolved. Pour in the water.
Crush your mint leaves. You can use a mortar and pestle, or crush/chop them by hand to release the mint flavor.
Stir the crushed or muddled mint leaves into the lemonade mixture.
Pour the lemonade over ice. Or store in an airtight container (I like to use a mason jar with lid) and refrigerate for up to 1 day.
Serve and garnish with extra fresh mint, enjoy!

Variations and Substitutions
Instead of white sugar, you can use other natural substitutions. Try brown sugar, maple syrup, agave nectar, or even honey.
If you want a sugar-free sweetener, there are plenty of great alternatives to try like monk fruit or stevia.
