These farmhouse chocolate chip cookies are rustic, delicious, and have a surprising ingredient to give them flavor! A great dessert or snack anytime. Vegan & gluten free options!
2cupssemisweet chocolate chipsI used half chips and half chunks, but either is fine
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl mix together the flour, baking soda and the salt.
In a large bowl mix together the butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, vinegar, and the egg.
Mix the flour mixture into the wet mixture until well combined, and add the chocolate chips into the dough.
To the baking sheet, place about 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie. Leave them about 3-4 inches apart on the baking sheet.
Place baking sheet in the oven, and bake for 9 to 10 minutes, the cookies will look a little crisp at the edges but soft in the middke. Remove the baking sheet from the oven, and to allow the cookies on the sheet for 10 minutes before eating. Enjoy!

Dietary Modifications
These can be made Gluten Free by substituting the all purpose flour for a 1-to-1 gluten free baking mix! These can be made Vegan by replacing the butter with a plant-based version or replacing the egg with a flax egg (1 tablespoon ground flaxseed + 1 tablespoon water, mixed together). Also use a dairy free chocolate chip variety.
