Coconut Water Lemonade

This coconut water lemonade recipe has just 5 simple ingredients and is a fantastic refresher for a hot summer day! You can make this drink in 5 minutes, and chill or serve immediately over ice.

Equipment

  • Quart Sized Mason Jar, or container
  • Lemon Press, optional
  • Wooden Spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup sugar *see note below for alternatives
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 16 ounces coconut water
  • 3 lemons juices
  • Ice to serve

Instructions
 

  • In a large quart-sized mason jar or large heatproof serving container, add the sugar and pour in the hot water. Stir with a wooden spoon and allow mixture to sit for 4 to 5 minutes until sugar dissolves.
  • In the same container, add the coconut water and lemon juice. Stir again, and refrigerate.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slice of desired.

Notes

Dietary Modifications

  • This recipe is naturally dairy free, vegan, and vegetarian.
  • To make gluten free, ensure that all ingredients (including coconut water and sugar) are certified gluten free.
  • To make refined sugar free, replace the 1/4 sugar with a natural liquid sweetener like maple syrup or agave nectar.
