Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough divided into two balls
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large sweet onion sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 8 ounces goat cheese
  • 1 pear sliced
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 fresh basil
  • Fresh thyme

Instructions

  • Roll out the pizza dough, into 2 9-inch pizzas. Place the dough on a sheet pan and allow to rest for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • To a medium pan, heat the olive oil and add the sliced onions. Sauté over low heat for 10 minutes, then add the Worcestershire sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until onions are soft. Set aside for them to cool.
  • Place the pizza dough pans in the oven, and bake for 5 minutes. Remove the pizza crusts, and add 1/2 cup of sauce to each pizza. Then add the goat cheese, sliced pears, caramelized onions, and thyme (plus any additional toppings as desired) to the pizza. Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes or for additional time until the cheese has melted.
  • Remove pizza from oven, drizzle honey and torn basil on top of the pizza. Slice and serve hot!
