This Lemonade with Mint is a bright & refreshing drink - made with fresh squeezed lemon juice and mint! Pour yourself a tall glass on a hot summer day, this is one delicious way to hydrate.
This mint lemonade is made with just 4 ingredients: water, sugar, lemons, and mint. You can substitute a natural sweetener for the sugar if you prefer, either way you'll absolutely love this summer drink.
In a medium bowl (or quart sized mason jar), add 1 cup of hot water and the sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Add the lemon juice to the sugar and water, and mix again. Add 2 1/2 cups of cold water (you should have about 4 cups of liquid total).
In a mortar and pestle, muddle 1/4 cup of mint leaves until they are crushed to a pulp. Scoop the mint pulp out of the mortar and stir it into the lemonade.
Pour lemonade over ice, and garnish with a fresh sprig of mint. Enjoy!
