This Oven Baked Steak Fries recipe makes perfectly spices crispy potato wedges on a sheet pan, baked totally in your oven. Crispy, crunchy, and tender on the inside - make perfectly dippable wedge fries without a deep fryer.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper, and add 1 tablespoon of the sunflower oil on top of the parchment paper, spreading it out in an even layer on top of the paper.
In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with the remaining 1 tablespoon sunflower oil, corn starch, Montreal Steak Spice, and garlic powder. Toss well to combine, making sure each side of the potato wedges are coated in the corn starch mixture.
Add the potato wedges to the sheet pan, in a single layer on the pan. Don't overlap or double up on the rows, it will prevent the potatoes from sticking together.
Place sheet pan in the oven, and roast the potatoes for 20 minutes. Flip them with a spatula (I actually use a fish turner spatula for this, as it has a larger surface area) and roast the potatoes on the other side for 20 more minutes.
Once the potatoes have finished cooking, carefully remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the tops of the potatoes with a hint of sea salt. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy!
