Garlic Lover’s Baked Garlic Bread (Vegan, Gluten Free Option)

This Baked Garlic Bread is a garlic lover’s dream come true! Crunchy, crispy, and wicked garlicky with loads of fresh garlic.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf of bread or baguette use gluten free if avoiding wheat, sliced into 1/2 inch slices
  • 4 tablespoons good olive oil
  • 8 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powderGarlic Lover’s Baked Garlic Bread Vegan, Gluten Free Option
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • Paprika to sprinkle
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Set turn oven broiler to LOW
  • Cut bread into desired serving portions: I like thin slices for a traditional round boule loaf, and I like to cut a baguette in half lengthwise.
  • In a small dish or jar, add the olive oil, raw garlic, garlic powder, and mix well to combine.
  • Using a basting brush, cover the face up bread with the olive oil/garlic mixture.  Ensure that every nook and cranny of the bread has garlic.
  • Place under the broiler for 3-4 minutes, and check.  Each oven’s broiler is different, so be very careful not to burn your garlic bread.  Make sure it is crisp and beginning to brown at the edges, not harden and blacken.
  • Remove garlic bread from oven, and sprinkle the top with crushed red pepper flakes, paprika, and salt.
