Cinnamon Hot Chocolate

This Cinnamon Hot Chocolate is a warm and decadent drink, all the cozy chocolate flavor! A great afternoon snack or dessert - you can make it with any milk you like (whole, skim, almond, or oat milk!). This recipe comes together with just a few pantry staple ingredients and a blender for the perfect sweet treat in about 5 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups milk of choice I used a low sodium almond milk
  • 1 tablespoons agave nectar or other natural sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch Sea Salt

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a saucepan, and heat on medium. Whisk the mixture for about 5 minutes until all the ingredients are incorporated, and the hot chocolate is just coming to a simmer (not boiling).
  • Remove from heat and serve with whipped cream, coconut cream, marshmallows, or an extra pinch of cinnamon.
