Warm Spiked Apple Cider

This warm spiked apple cider recipe is one of the BEST holiday cocktail recipes around. This sweet cinnamon drink is a perfect nightcap or after-dinner drink.  A fantastic beverage to warm you up after being out in the snow - made with cinnamon whiskey and fresh pressed cider.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 ounces cinnamon whiskey

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, heat the apple cider and cinnamon stick together until warm.
  • Pour cinnamon whiskey to a serving glass and top with the warm apple cider.
  • Garnish with cinnamon stick, and enjoy!

Notes

This recipe is pretty sweet (to my taste) so it makes a really nice sipping drink.  If you want yours less sweet, then I'd recommend halving the cider to 4 ounces, and replacing the remaining 4 ounces with water.   That way you get most of the flavor, but not all of the sugar.
