This blood orange salad recipe is made with mixed greens, bright fresh blood oranges, and savory walnuts and sunflower seeds. It's a great vegan and dairy free winter salad, which is a little sweet & a little savory!

Ingredients
  

For the Salad

  • 5 ounces spring mix salad
  • 2 blood oranges peeled
  • 1/3 cup walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
  • 1 teaspoon hemp hearts

For the Dressing

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 1/4 cup blood orange juice about 1 small orange, squeezed
  • 1 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Pinch Sea Salt

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dry greens. Place in a large serving bowl.
  • Add the blood oranges to top, along with the walnuts, sunflower seeds, and hemp hearts.
  • To make the blood orange dressing, combine all ingredients in a mason jar, secure lid, and shake well to combine.
  • Pour dressing over salad, and enjoy!
