Slow Cooker Applesauce with Skin/Peels
This easy slow cooker applesauce with skin/peels on is perfect for seasonal apples from the orchard, and cooks overnight in the slow cooker. A warm, rich, deep red applesauce you can make from any variety of apples.

10 apples cored and unpeeled (leave skins on!) 3/4 cup apple cider 1/2 cup sugar or sweetener or choice 1 tablespoon cinnamon 1 tablespoon lemon juice Pinch Sea Salt

Dice the apples into 1 inch cubes and place in the crockpot.
Add the apple cider, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and salt to the crock pot and stir to combine.
Cook on low for 6-7 hours until the apples become soft and break apart when you stir them.
Blend the apple sauce with the immersion blender. Taste, and add additional sugar or cinnamon if desired.
Serve warm, and store leftovers in airtight containers for 1 week in the fridge.
