This Waffles with Apples recipe makes fluffy, sweet waffles in minutes! A great recipe with apple pie filling leftover. For the Waffle Batter
1cupapple pie filling*recipe for my low sugar apple pie filling in Notes below!
2cupsall-purpose flourall purpose flour, or a certified gluten free version if needed
1 1/2cupplain unsweetened almond milk
1/4cupcoconut oilmelted
1tablespoonapple cider vinegar
1tablespoonbaking powder
1tablespoonmaple syrup
1/2teaspooncinnamon
1/2teaspoonvanilla extract

Instructions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Finely dice the apples, and add them to a pan with the cinnamon, butter or coconut oil. Sauté for 5 to 6 minutes until apples begin to soften.
Add HALF the sauteed apples to a large bowl (saving the other half of the apples for a garnish), and combine the rest of the waffle batter ingredients together.
When your Belgian Waffle maker is ready, scoop the approved amount of batter into the maker, and close the lid carefully. Your waffle maker instructions should say exactly how much batter to use.
Once waffle has finished cooking, place it on a sheet pan in the oven to keep it warm. Repeat steps until the batter is gone.
Top each waffle with a scoop of the sauteed apples. Serve with powdered sugar, apple compote or homemade applesauce, fresh fruit, and a drizzle of maple syrup. Rise & SHINE!
