I was inspired to make this drink by an awesome post I saw on a video where they infused simple syrup with grapefruit peels !  I LOVE grapefruit and am so happy I can re-purpose the peel to make a tasty syrup.  And this syrup MAKES this easy grapefruit paloma recipe so darn good.

How Do I Infuse Simple Syrup?

  1. In a large mason jar, add the peels from 1 grapefruit, 1/2 cup is sugar, and 1/2 cup water.
  2. Allow the peels to soak for 1 hour- not much longer or else they will get bitter.
  3. Remove the peels and refrigerate the syrup!
