This dill pickle grilled cheese recipe is perfect for a healthy and delicious lunch or dinner!  It’s summer which mean it’s cucumber season in our garden, and our fridge is full of homemade pickles. We use our garden cucumbers to make dill pickles and garlic pickles, which are fantastic tucked into a crispy and toasty grilled cheese.  I loaded this grilled cheese up with homemade pickles (but you can use any kind you like!) for a cheesy, briny sandwich that’s ready in about 10 minutes.

This Dill Pickle Grilled Cheese Recipe Is:

  • Crispy
  • Cheesy
  • Toasted
  • Ready in 10 Minutes
  • A great way to use up leftover pickles
  • Vegetarian and can easily be gluten free or keto depending on the bread you use!

How Do I Make Dill Pickle Grilled Cheese?

  • Brush one side of bread with half of the butter. Place it butter-side down on a plate. Add the sliced pickles and cheese. Place the other side of bread on top, and spread the top of the bread with the remaining butter.
  • Press in a panini press for 5-10 minutes until bread is toasted golden brown, and cheese is warm and melty in the middle.  Or toast on a griddle or saute pan for 3-4 minutes on each side until bread has been toasted light brown. Slice, mangia, and enjoy!
