Make Ahead Dairy Free Cheese Sauce

The cheese sauce for these fries is a fantastic and simple recipe to make ahead. Great for a busy weeknight, for entertaining, or just for those nights when you don’t feel like cooking.  I like to prep an extra sheet pan of sauce ingredients ahead of time, blend it, and freeze some for later.  Having ready cooked meals in the fridge or freezer is a great way to enjoy home cooked meals when you don’t have time in the kitchen.  Freezing ingredients is also a great way to use up food that may be expiring soon.  Check out all my make ahead meals on The Herbeevore for some inso to help you prep, keep, heat, and heat!

The Best Blender Cheese Sauce

I’ve owned a lot of blenders, but my Vitamix is definitely the best one I’ve owned. This high-speed blender will blend even the toughest of ingredients into pulp.  I prefer using my blender to my food processor for sauces like this or homemade hummus, as it’s much easier to clean the Vitamix. This is definitely one kitchen appliance we use on a daily basis!

Sheet Pan Cheese Fries Recipe For the Win!

These sheet pan cheese fries are the perfect sheet pan dinner!  I love a good sheet pan meal, especially during these summer months when I want to cook everything at once. Cooking on a sheetpan is one of my favorite ways to get a meal on the table fast!  All the food gets cooked on a single pan, which makes cleaning up a breeze. And the oven does all the work for you, so you can focus on other kitchen prep while the food cooks. How Do I Make This Gluten Free Dairy Free Cheese Fries Recipe?

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover 2 sheet pans with parchment paper.
  2. Add all the fries ingredients to one Sheet Pan, toss well to combine and set aside.
  3. On the other sheet pan add the carrots, potato, onion, olive oil, and salt. Toss well to combine.’
  4. Place both sheet pans in the oven, and roast for 40 minutes, flipping the vegetables halfway. When vegetables are finished roasting, turn off the oven and leave the sheet pan with the fries in the oven. This will keep the fries warm as you make the cheese sauce.
