No Cook Breakfast Recipes With Frozen Fruit
I you can use either fresh or frozen berries for this recipe, both turn out great! Frozen produce is a great option for finding fresh and flavorful fruits in the off season. By using freezer ingredients, I can stock up when they are on sale, and use them in all kinds of great dishes. It saves me a trip to the store, and I can add amazing fruits right into the recipe. Frozen fruits are often picked at peak ripeness, so they are a much better option than canned. Check out all my recipes that use Freezer Ingredients on The Herbeevore – great for those nights when you want dinner ready fast! What’s In This No Cook Berry Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe?
- Old Fashioned Oats: I used old fashioned oats for this recipe. I found old fashioned oats work much better than quick oats, as they hold up really well overnight in the refrigerator.
- Milk – I used unsweetened Almond Milk for my version of this recipe. I prefer almond milk, which Silk has a shelf-stable version that lasts up to a year in the pantry!
- Yogurt – you can use Greek yogurt or a soy, coconut, or oat milk yogurt if you want to make this recipe dairy free.
- Mixed Berries – I used blueberries and strawberries, but you can use raspberries, cherries, or blackberries.
- Agave Syrup: I really like using this raw organic agave syrup because it’s a natural and sustainable sweetener, plus it is ridiculously inexpensive online so I always keep a few of these bottles in my pantry.
- Cinnamon: which gives this oatmeal is classic spice-y flavor! I love to load it on!
- Raw Cacao Powder: this raw unsweetened cacao powder is a a healthy and good-for-you addition to these brownies.  Raw Cacao powder is loaded with antioxidants and has tons of healthy benefits.  Make sure you use a raw cacao powder and not sweetened baking cocoa… it makes a huge difference.
- Walnuts: because I love adding heart-healthy and brain-healthy ingredients to my foods when I can. I stocked up a few bags of these walnuts which are super cheap and a great value for the quality.
- Dark Chocolate Chips: to give these cookies an amazing chocolate chunk! These dark chocolate chips are a great addition if you want to make these vegan and plant-based.
