Apple Toast with Honey Butter

This apple toast with honey butter is satisfying breakfast ready in about 10 minutes with warm apples, raw honey on peanut butter toast.  This is a fancy weekend brunch recipe you can serve to house guests, or just a easy weekday breakfast on the way to work or school.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 apple sliced
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 slices whole wheat bread toasted
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • Cinnamon & Honey to drizzle

Instructions
 

  • Cut the apple into thin slices, set aside.
  • In a small saute pan, melt the butter over low heat and add the apple slices, cinnamon, ground ginger, and honey. Saute for 6 to 7 minutes until the apples soften and begin to brown.
  • Toast 2 slices of whole wheat bread, and spread 1 tablespoon peanut butter on each slice of toast. Divide the apples and place them on top of the peanut butter.
  • Drizzle with extra honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon and enjoy!
