This hot chocolate with cacao is the perfect treat for late night chocolate cravings. Hot chocolate is my go-to drink when I have a sweet tooth but don’t want a full dessert. This sweet drink is made with raw cacao, milk of your choice, and a few naturally sweet ingredients for the perfect drink.

This creamy hot cacao recipe is a fantastic pantry-staple drink!  It uses almost all ingredients you would have in your dry pantry or cupboards – most of which you probably have on hand. How Do I Make This Creamy Hot Chocolate with Cacao Powder?

  1. Add all ingredients to a saucepan, and heat on medium. Whisk the mixture for about 5 minutes until all the ingredients are incorporated, and the hot chocolate is just coming to a simmer (not boiling).
  2. Remove from heat and serve with whipped cream, coconut cream, marshmallows, or an extra pinch of cinnamon.

  • 1 tablespoons agave nectar or other natural sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch Sea Salt
